Interview with The Lilac Scrapbook

It's Interview Time!
My first interview of the year goes to Katy from The Lilac Scrapbook
I absolutely love her blog, and enjoyed joining her in her December photo challenge! I'd like to thank Katy for her amazing answers and find her social media links at the bottom of this post.

Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging to distract myself during a long summer, and to enhance the skills I was learning at university. I study a combined honours degree in journalism and creative writing, so writing has always been a passion of mine. I wanted to see how I could broaden my experiences by trying a new form of writing!

What are your favourite posts to write?
My favourite posts to write are lifestyle based ones where I can share my feelings on particular topics or write about something that I have some background experience in.

What is your favourite part of blogging?
My favourite part of blogging is having the opportunity to network and interact with other bloggers and the people who read my blog, as well as making new friends in the process.

What are your go-to makeup products at the moment?
My favourite make-up items at the moment are Rebel lipstick by Mac, which is my go-to Autumn/Winter shade, and the Make Up Revolution blush palette, in Golden Sugar, which I got for Christmas, and I've not stopped using it since!

What has been your autumn/winter must have?
For Autumn/Winter, my must have clothing item has been my dressing gown, if that counts! I'm always cold so I've spent most of my time wrapped up in it. I've also been loving oversized knitted jumpers because they look fab with so many outfit combinations.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years time I will have hopefully graduated, and I'd like to have or be on my way to a steady job in the publishing industry - and I hope I'll still be blogging too.

What are your future dreams and ambitions?
My future dreams and ambitions are to have a collection of original poetry published, and also to move to Kraków!

What are you most looking forward to in 2015?
In 2015 I'm most looking forward to attending some blog events, visiting Berlin with my university, and seeing what I can achieve throughout the year.

Thank you so much Katy for your lovely answers, and I wish you a very happy 2015!
