I have an obsession with sheet masks. I always find myself buying more and more, and I can never have enough.
I feel like a sheet mask is a life saviour in soooo many situations; bad skin day = sheet mask, relaxing night in = sheet mask, had a shit day = sheet mask, before a night out = sheet mask, and so on... The amazing thing about sheet masks in particular is that they are relatively mess free. Most of the time there is no need to spend time pasting your face in different types of think concoctions, and no need to wash any gloop off of your face afterwards. Simply take the sheet mask out of the packet, place it on your face, relax for 15 minutes or so, and then take it off - it's that simple!
Anyway I'm pretty sure most of you know how to use a sheet mask already because it's pretty self-explanatory, but in this blog post I'm going to review 5 different sheet face masks that I have in my stash...
Holler and Glow "get whipped" VITALISING Printed Sheet Mask (£3.00)
I picked up this particular face mask when I was shopping in Primark earlier last month. I also picked up some for my housemates too because they looked amazing! The "get whipped" sheet mask aims to give your skin a radiant glow after applying it to your face for 15 minutes. This mask contains avocado oil, grapefruit extract and vitamin E. One of my favourite things about this face mask is that it has a cute ice cream cone design which looks super cool.
I thought this face mask smelt incredible and after using it my skin immediately felt energised and have a wonderful glow. I saw an improvement in my skin straightaway after using it and so it would be a great mask to use before a night out or in the morning. I would definitely purchase this mask again.
TruBeauty Anti-Shine Green Tea Face Mask (Pack of 5 for £3.00)
This face mask has already made an appearance on my blog in my Summer Travels Beauty Haul, as I bought this mask at TJ Maxx in Orlando. This mask aims to remove unwanted oils to mattify your skin whilst giving your plump and clear skin. I have used this mask several times now and I absolutely love it. I have already seen an improvement in my skin's overall complexion.
Holler and Glow "gem fest" MOISTURISING Printed Sheet Mask (£3.00)
Yes another Holler and Glow sheet mask, but this time it's their super moisturising "gem fest" face mask. I picked this up in Primark as well during my shopping trip, and I couldn't wait to try it out. This face mask aims to deeply moisturise your skin as it contains coconut extract and Japanese camellia flower (which smells amazing). This sheet mask also have a cute design printed on it. Not as cute as the ice cream cones, but it has face jewels printed on it.
After using this sheet mask I must admit my skin felt immediately moisturised, and this sheet mask would be an absolute life saver as the winter months are fast approaching.
This is another face mask that has already made an appearance on my blog too as it arrived in this September's Glossybox. I was so excited to try out a bubbling mask as I had been meaning to for agessss. This mask aims to cleanse deep pores to get rid of blackheads, reduce oils and proneness to acne. As soon as the mask is applied some bubble start to appear across your face as it cleanses your skin. The mask contains Lime, Lemon, Apple, Orange and Grapefruit extracts which combined with the activated charcoal detoxifies your skin leaving you feeling fresh and clean.
I have never tried out Victoria Secret's beauty products before and so I was very excited to give this face mask a go! This sheet mask suggests that it's the perfect way to start your beauty regime before a night out so I put it to the test. After having a shower, I washed and cleansed my face clean and then applied the mask. I left the mask on for 15 minutes as instructed whilst I got changed and dried my hair. Once I removed the mask and massaged in the excess oils, my skin immediately felt really plump and smooth. I allowed the oils to soak in and continued with the rest of my makeup routine for a night out. My primer and foundation when applied on my face looked flawless and very smooth. After a night out my makeup was put to the test but my foundation seemed to stay put and still look amazing throughout the night.
I was very impressed by this face mask, and would look into trying more Victoria Secret PINK beauty products in the future!
So there are 5 sheet masks tried and tested for you! Let me know if there are any sheet masks that you love or have been loving lately as like I said, I do love a good sheet face mask!
