London Fashion Weekend

Wow, I am so lucky!
Last Saturday I experienced the buzz of London Fashion Weekend!
It was the first time [and hopefully not the last time] I had been to London Fashion Weekend, and I loved every second of it! I was booked in for two catwalks, one Outnet.com trend show and a designer showcase. I was blown away with the gorgeous new items that starred on the catwalk, and the models looked amazing.

Before our first catwalk, we decided to browse some of the beautiful clothes, shoes and accessories on show in the Somerset house rooms. The unique items on offer where so gorgeous, quirky and fun. Some of my favourite brands were; The Cambridge Satchel Company, Osman, Paper London, Pum Pum Socks, Little White Lies, Dear Frances and Estella Bartlett.

It was 12pm, catwalk time! Our first catwalk show was the outnet.com trend show. It showcased four styles to try in Spring/Summer 2015; Hyper Florals, Shimmer & Shine, Make It Monochrome and That Seventies Show. The show was hosted by Angela Scanlon, who made a great introduction and came across so friendly and fun.
The Hyper Florals were in full bloom with beautiful bright colours and embellishments. There were many ankle-grazing dresses, over-sized tops and mix-and-match separates.
The Shimmer & Shine collection were stunning and dazzling. These metallics weren't your usual Autumn/Winter metallics, but this time the more mature glitter is seen in full with pastels and sparkles.
The Make It Monochrome items were classic and bold. The clothing items made a statement and looked fantastic on the catwalk.
The seventies are back! [Not that I was around in them times] The trend I will need a bit more confidence before I wear any outfits. The models were dressed in an abundance of suede, tassles and flares, I also loved the lace items and beautiful sandals.

After the first catwalk we decided to have lunch. We grabbed a seat outside catwalk and we got out our lunch, which we had brought with us. I also had a hot chocolate to keep me warm.

It was 1.30pm, time for our second catwalk show! This time it was the designer collection with Halston Heritage. The American Fashion Designer, founded in the 1960's, had created some beautiful, elegant items for the catwalk, with beautiful tailored jumpsuits and elegant dresses.

The Catwalk Hair
The model's hair was very sleek and simple, so not to draw too much attention away from the items of clothing they were wearing. Toni & Guy were proud supporters of London Fashion Week and their products were used to create the model's hairstyles.

The Catwalk Makeup
Maybelline were also proud supporters of London Fashion Week and created all of the model's beautiful faces. The look was simplistic and brightening. Their flawless skin was created with the bb cream and baby lips was used as a dewy highlighter, and the light from the spotlights above bounced off it beautifully.

I continued to look around the many rooms on offer. I queued up for the Maybelline and treated myself to a nude lipstick, dream mousse foundation and the colour eye tattoo in Pink Gold,
I also treated myself to a baby lips balm and two nail polishes.

In the Triumph room they allowed you to design your own t-shirt, they printed it on to a plain top and you could take it home for free. I went for a simple floral design.

My Outfit
Pink Coat - Forever 21
Monochrome Striped Dress - New Look
Chelsea Boots - Office
Necklace - Tiffany & Co

We also pre-paid for a designer tote filled with goodies, and I loved it. I indulged in the Bailey's chocolate straight away and ate my way through the dried mango. The bag was also filled with other items such an Essie nail varnish, Maybelline mascara and Garnier makeup remover wipes.

There were lots of talks and presentations going on throughout the day, but we missed them due to the times of our catwalk shows. The Maybelline talk looked amazing, and equally the business talk about the Fashion Industry.

After a long day, we left Somerset House in search for refreshments, so we stopped off at Bills. Bills is such a lovely little restaurant with such a quirky interior. I ordered the pink lemonade and vanilla ice cream float, and it was so sweet and delicious. It is definitely a drink I will be trying more than once over this summer.

Wow, what an amazing day!
The buzz and the atmosphere at Somerset House was amazing, with busy crowds of people with a love for fashion were so lovely and friendly. The designers, outfits, catwalks and makeup ere beautiful, and I had such a memorable day.
I hope to return next year!
